Cocoa oat bran heals what ails me

Really hungover this morning and in work, the only thing that makes this better is finding things to put in my face.... First up, cocoa oat bran - I keep a bag of it in my handbag at all times lately.... Just take a ziplock bag, fill it with oat bran, cocoa powder (green and blacks is my favo), sultanas, and anything else you like (sesame seeds, chopped dates, nuts of any kind...etc) then you always have breakfast with you, all you need is hot water and/or a microwave. AND IT'S SUGAR FREE AND HEALTHY so let's hope it works it's magic on this hangover ASAP.
Signing off"........ splatttttt!

***UPDATE: all of a sudden, about 3 hrs after eating this oat bran delight and thinking it would help the hangover cause - I started spontaneously erupting with exorcism vomit. I don't think the oat bran was to blame but by Jesus, it was not such a pleasure to force out backwards. At one stage I caught sight of myself in the bathroom mirror in work, veins bulging out of my temples, nose bright red, gasping for breath with tears running down my pulverised face and I vowed never to drink on a Friday night with work in the morning again. Thank god there was nobody else in work and I was just there to answer calls, I couldn't have coped otherwise. On the upside though, I got paid $40 an hour to lie on the couch groaning for 6 hours.

Pad grapow - the best thing ever?

So i bought a new wok last week, spent a good hour or thereabouts seasoning it, and then made my first wok fried pad grapow kai dow (thai basil stir fry with a fried egg on top). I used the basil with the purple flowers and the flavour was amazing... also served it with broken rice, which is not only thrify on the pocket but also on the teeth because since it's broken already, you barely need to chew it haaaaa!  iT ALSO MEANS YOU CAN SHOVEL FOOD INTO YOUR FACE WAY FASTER!!!

So the recipe is just basically: (in order of how you add these things to the wok)
a load of minced garlic and chili (at least 3 cloves per person)
a couple of chicken thigh's (you can mince them yourself with a cleaver - pre-minced chicken is often bad quality and hand mincing gives a nice texture of big and small pieces)
fish sauce
oyster sauce or sweet soy
a half teaspoon of sugar
some chopped veg - the best are green beans, baby corn, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, pepper - whatever you like really...
a LOAD of basil leaves, pref. holy or thai.

& to serve:
lime wedges
pickled chilis & the vinegar
crispy wok fried egg (runny yolk)
fresh chili slices
loads of fragrant jasmine rice

and thats it really.... AMAZInggggg

Leeeeeedl basil plants

Only 99c for an amazing big fragrant basil plant in Lidl - they're twice the size of the ones you get in tesco for €1.69 and it actually looks like it will grow after you get it home.

This week, I will be mostly eating: cheese, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil with tuna.... YUMMMMMMMMM!
